Beth Anderson studied both at Winthrop University & enrolled in the Interior Design
program at Central Piedmont Community College in 1995.
She worked as lead designer and buyer for a large Charlotte firm prior to opening
her own firm Anderson Interiors. After the birth of her son, she joined Luck Stone
Corporation (the parent company of Charles Luck Stone Center) in 2005
in sales and now is serving as the Studio Consultant. The Charles Luck Stone Studio
was built and opened spring '09, which is a new showroom concept for the stone
world that caters to Interior Designers, Architects and as well as the homeowner.
"Applications and Benefits of Natural Stone"
The presentation will focus on the various applications and benefits of natural stone
products for interior and exterior use. The world of natural stone is rich with history and
stories and this presentation will show you the possibilities of designing and crafting
with stone. You will learn installation techniques for using natural stone as a masonry
veneer. Also, learn to define flagstone and how natural stone can be used in paving
applications. The presentation discusses quarrying and modern fabrication methods
for dimensional stone, including granite and marble slabs. Discover and evaluate natural stone

Karen Matejka is a Business Development Manager for Steelcase, Inc. Karen joined
Steelcase in 1997, after more than 10 years in the Commercial Furniture industry.
In her position as Business Development Manager for the Steelcase Wood Furniture
Division, Karen interfaces with major design firms as well as corporations and end users.
In her capacity, she brings resources and information that are critical to the application
and design of Steelcase applications and ancillary furniture into all types of projects
throughout the Southern Region. She has led several different project teams in the
intergration of interior planning with workplace procedures focused on establishing a
functional built environment centered around user needs.

stemming back to early days at UNC-Charlotte. In college he was hired as the
Sales Intern for The Kohler Company, a leading Plumbing and Fixture
Manufacturer. After graduation, he went to work directly for American Standard
Kitchen and Bath in sales. He now lends his expertise as the Architect,
Engineer and Design representative for Repsouth, Manufacturers Rep Firm, in NC
and SC. RepSouth's primary focus is the commercial market and the high end
kitchen and bath market. Mark brings his wit and experience to the table.
